I Can’t Help but Speak Out

Basically, all treatises composed by scholars and achievers from the eight Schools of Buddhism in the Land of Snows are marvelous. Additionally, some of the treatises were written with the blessings from their individual Yidams, and are therefore even more exquisite in dictions.

Speaking of our Nyingma School, the special treatises of Terma are something that are hardly found in other Schools. For example, treatises of Terma written by the great tertön Lhatsün Namkha Jikmé or Rigdzin Jigme Lingpa, are all written with graceful styles, profound meanings, and precise expressions. The Terma of Namchö, whilst it is simple in its wording, yet it flows with lingering appeals, and thus contains extreme blessing powers.

However, many people in modern times post their treatises everywhere, claiming that these are Terma and that of those are blessed by Yidams. In fact, for someone as assertive and skeptical a theorist as myself, I am not qualified to pass judgments, nor am I fit to even speak at all; however, I would think, at the very least, that there shouldn’t be any misspelled words in the treatises they posted! Because how on earth can there be any misspelled words in treatises that had been blessed by Maňjuśrī and other Yidams? It makes me wonder if these people are taking it too far?

I earnestly ask you all to pay heed and be cautious of this!
