Not discriminating against any race, not showing bias towards any religion, upholding the authentic transmission of the Nyingma lineage, and to always have guts when treating with people. This was the lifelong pursuit of my father, Penor Rinpoche, and his exemplary conduct.
Having no ulterior motives in mind, being consistent in conduct both in public and private, and charging headfirst when it comes to matters of the Nyingma lineage. This is Choktrul’s style.
My father and I didn’t dare call ourselves spiritual teachers, but we were definitely the top dogs.
