The Body Successor of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche
Clad in the glory of the three monastic robes
Who has never offended even the subtlest of vows,
Displays the form of an Arhat in the age of Dharma’s decline.
The Speech Successor of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche
Is careful in his virtuous speech and never utters falsehoods.
Whatever he proclaims is always wholesome.
He is a Great Being appearing in our time.
The Mind Successor of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche,
Resting still in his inner mind unseen by others,
Is a true yogi of the supreme path of the two stages,
And equality of the three realms.
The True Mind of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche,
I pray sincerely from the depths of my heart:
May the lifespan and activities of the Dharma King
Reach the ends of space, unchanging and without decay.
Personal Note (2025/08/28, early morning dream)
At dawn today, I, the unworthy disciple, dreamed of my Guru of profound kindness, His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, who bestowed upon me several pens of sublime qualities. These were first intended as offerings to His Holiness Karma Kuchen Rinpoche, but since he was not in attendance during that time, they were instead granted to me.
Upon waking and in the afternoon, I saw widely shared online news that today happened to be the birthday of His Holiness Kuchen Rinpoche. Considering this, there seemed to be a subtle connection. Therefore, I composed these verses while in the car.
With deepest respect, I offer my heartfelt prayers:
May His Holiness Kuchen Rinpoche’s life and merit increase and extend,
May he remain in this world for a long time,
May the Buddha Dharma ever flourish,
And may the Sangha and the Dharma be well-protected.
