The Kiss on the Lips Between the Guru and the Disciple, Represents Their Profound Affections for Each Other
Now that many Tibetans have seen the photos of me kissing on the lips of my guru H.H. Tenpay Wangchuk Rinpoche, they seem to harbor a lot of opinions about this.
This, in fact I don’t particularly need to explain, but since you all want to know, I will cater your needs and explain to you.
I have an incredible dad, and my dad happened to have a very well-behaved and obedient son, who makes him very proud inside and very pleased. So this dad thought it was worth it to kiss the son on the lips.
Otherwise, those who have opinions about this, please feel free to go and kiss His Holiness on his lips, I am afraid that even if you want to kiss His Holiness, whether His Holiness would want to kiss you back is a big question.
Please therefore, don’t think too much about it. As father and son, how we kiss or touch is none of your business. Thank you.
People who have negative opinions about the kissing photos are simply fool, and just plain sour grapes.
