To the Esteemed Nyingma Lineage Holders:
Just a few months ago, I put forth the “Six Dialectics on Awareness”, but to my chagrin, no one has fully answered my questions.
Why is that the case? Is it because that half of us Nyingmapas do not attach any importance to Dzogchen? Or, is it that half of us are simply inept at giving a complete answer?
Perhaps it’s attributable to both! In any case, my senior vajra brother, the renowned Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche of the Sakya and Nyingma schools, who is widely celebrated throughout Europe and Asia, together with the khenpos of Yarchen and Sertar, the khenpos of Dorje Drak, Mindrolling, Palri, Katok, Palyul, Dzogchen and Shechen monasteries, as well as all the other self-proclaimed great masters, should dedicate more attention to the study of the Dzongchen teachings of our Nyingma tradition. This is my greatest wish.
It is impossible for you to have missed reading or hearing about the six questions that I have posed in my treatise. Could it be that the contents and argumentation of my questions were not worth discussing? If so, please kindly and precisely state which line or verse is unworthy of a meaningful discussion?
Otherwise, it makes me very sad to witness how everyone simply interprets and explains the meaning of words perfunctorily, hoodwinking through every time. We the Nyingmapas should lift our spirits, get our acts together, and show our true mettle by engaging ourselves in a serious discussion. Or else, once I start answering my own questions, it will not look pretty for everyone.
