Praises on Bodhicitta 51 – 55

(51)
If there isn’t Bodhicitta,
One’s accumulations of merits and wisdom,
Will “wither” like a plantain tree upon fruition,
Making it difficult for one to sail across the Sea of Samsara.

(52)
Samantabhadra’s skilful means and sagacious deeds,
Manjusri’s courage, bravery and wisdom,
Akasagarbha’s infinite repentance for sentient beings,
Are all inseparable from Bodhicitta.

(53)
Learning, contemplating and practicing Buddha Dharma,
If accompanied with Bodhicitta,
Lest one does not reach fruition this lifetime,
One’s blessings accumulated shall be carried over and enjoyed the next lifetime.

(54)
The Mahābrahma Deva Rāja,
Maheśvara, Umā and the like,
The Vigorous and All-mighty deities,
All succumb to Bodhicitta as it subdues them all.

(55)
The Brahmins of supreme status,
The Cakravartī who holds power over the Four Continents,
The Heavenly Dragon with enormous wealth,
All revere those with Bodhicitta.
