The Problem of us Buddhist Disciples

Choktrul20200827

The problem of us Buddhist disciples is not the lack of knowledge of Buddhadharma, but the fact that no one wants to put it into practice.

The will to renounce saṃsāra, the devotion towards the Three Jewels, the faith in causality, the compassion towards sentient beings, righteous deeds that do no harm to others, and the correct view of emptiness without characteristics, only when any one of the above has triggered a deep feeling in your heart does it mean that you are heading in the right direction for Dharma practice.

If not, then the so-called “hearing,” “contemplating,” and “practice” of Dharma are nothing but a mere image. This kind of Buddhadharma does not benefit yourself, and has absolutely no use at the time of death. Furthermore, if your usual behaviours are also influenced by the eight worldly winds, it will only get worse.

As for myself, my mind is as hard as a ball of steel, and hasn’t changed at all. The likes of me will never be liberated from saṃsāra. I plead that you give some thoughts to this.
