Now is the Greatest Era of Prosperity for Fakes

Nowadays, most people, whenever they get a chance, would try to imitate others and lie like they breathe; while those who didn’t get a chance to take advantage of that would go on biting off their heads as if those imposters were a bunch of good for nothings.

However, until the day when those revilers catch the chance, they would follow suit, imitating and lying all the same.

As for the truly competent and authentic one, people would merely, out of formality, utter a word or two like “he’s not bad,” and then cast him aside, with no one to acknowledge his presence or hold him in high esteem, let alone learn from him.

Perhaps this is the way the Degenerate Age manifests itself!
