My True Autobiography
To all the WeChat friends whom I have never met, please quietly lend me your ears.
I am very interested in learning about Buddhism, and that’s beyond just paying lip service.
Regardless of where I am or what I have done, I am totally transparent.
These are the two key points of my autobiography.
I am an expert at maneuvering all sorts of tools.
I like to dress as an ordinary person, just like everyone else. Currently, I sport a short crew haircut.
I quit drinking and occasionally I drink some tea.
Lately, I haven’t been eating fish or meat and have only been on vegetarian diet.
I like reading the vast prajna sutras and such classics.
I like to illuminate the light of Buddha in people’s hearts.
These past few years, I have been focusing on practicing the Amitabha Pure Land tradition.
Currently I am in poor health, approaching old age.
I don’t like finding faults in others but I do enjoy listening to gossips.
I often meditate and practice compassion towards sentient beings who are like our parents.
Unlike an ox or a sloth that likes to sleep, I like to spend time reading.
My mother passed away a little less than a year ago.
I like spinning the prayer wheels and chanting Amitabha.
I live in Kaohsiung where the climate is moderate, neither cold nor hot.
I am very tolerant of any sort of religion.
I am as agile & sharp like a marten without ill-will.
I don’t like wearing hats but I like wearing shorts.
I like treating people at restaurants and act like a big shot.
I like being in a lively and exciting environment, and I’m often surrounded by beautiful ladies.
I like romancing and courting with my lovers.
I live on an island surrounded by the ocean.
I have many good friends, either “up in the mountains” or “down below the seas”.
I have two sons. One of them is now a samanera.
I get to travel anywhere with ease and free of hassle.
