Be it in any sort of relationship, between the wise & the foolish, the rich & poor, the husband & wife, the parent & child etc., from morning til night, everyone is constantly saying “I, I, I…., I this & I that…I thus & so…”
Face, self-esteem, dignity, vanity etc., these are like poisons to a buddhist practitioner and should be discarded without feeling nostalgic about them. This is extremely important.

Words that sow discord among others, even those said by a Khenpo, should be discarded like garbage. Things that harm sentient beings, even those done by living Buddha, should be kept away from like poison.
Everyone agrees that one should tell the truth, but when truth is told, one ends up criticizing others in all likelihood. Therefore, what is important is not the telling of the truth but the character of the person telling the truth.
We in Buddhism say very well about pratyaksa, anumana, and agama. The builders of the three principles are very correct, the Dharma is correct, and the mentors are correct. There is no fault at all.
A despicable person like me can treat a guru who I’ve never seen as true Buddha, saying that the guru knows. But to my rtsawi lama who has offered me the empowerment, taught me the key of understanding Buddha Dharma,
